Welcome to Paradise…

One of the most sought after wilderness destinations in the world, the Okavango Delta gives entrance to the spectacle of wild Africa. A paradise in its own right, these lush water ways and flood plains spanning an area of more than 20 000 square km in the middle of the Kalahari Basin is short of a miracle. A very unique ecosystem, and the largest intact inland delta in the world and one of the largest and most animal-rich wetlands of Africa.

The Wildlife

Game drives in the Okavango Delta are some of the most inspiring safari activities on offer as they traverse the most pristine wilderness in Africa, and the wildlife is as spectacular as the area is beautiful, with great herds and high predator populations.

Today, the Okavango remains as wild as it was when it formed. he swamps and floodplains have kept human development at bay, and the wildlife remains a wild as it was 10,000 years ago. More than 150,000 islands now punctuate the Delta, varying in size from several metres to larger than a big city.

Chiefs Island in the centre of the delta is the largest island; it’s like a great big time capsule, a snapshot of the Africa of old, with great herds of elephant lumbering across the plains and super prides of lions stalking the night.
